Uniquely You!

Over the last two days, 3 people have shared with me directly or indirectly, that at one point in their lives they had a suicide plan.  Not that they just contemplated it but that they had pills, a gun, a plan to commit suicide and something unexpected got in the way.  That something... was God's intervention!  I feel led to share this. Who knows maybe it will be the "something" that gets in some ones way. 

As a child, we used to put our thumbs on an ink pad and make a thumb print in the middle of a card.  "You are Thumbody special" would get written on the front and little eyes, nose, mouth, sometimes a swirl of hair and a tail.  It is true; you are special.  You were made different from me and different from everyone else that you know.  That was the plan. You are uniquely you and you are loved. 

I might not know you, your friends or your relatives, but I believe in God and he doesn't create junk. 

Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5a

1. God creates all men (Gen 1:27 the first man and woman and Jer 1:5a the babies in the wombs - after all not everyone that tries creates a baby.)
2. In his own image, in the image of God.  You aren't God, but you were created in his image.  Can one thing be the best of the best and it's second be trash?  Really now, be honest and say with me, "God Loves me because I was created in his image."  Personalize these next two verses.  Read them as is God was speaking directly to YOU!

John 3:16
For God so loved (put your name here) the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever (your name here) believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for (your name here) in this: While (your name here) were still sinners, Christ died for (your name here).

 

3. God Loves you.  If you were the only person alive, nothing in God's plan would have changed.

4. Jesus is willing to take your place (He already has all you need to do is accept it and act on it.)

You ARE so worth it!  You ARE treasured! You ARE loved!  If you did something wrong or made a mistake, ask forgiveness and God will forgive you. Then leave it in the past because he already has forgotten it!

Here is a thought:  If you are thinking of taking your life, turn it over to Jesus and give it to God.  Better for him to use it and make something good out of it than for it to be gone forever.
