I'm stuck on beautiful yellow flowers this week I guess. I was driving home from my companies quarterly meeting just outside of Alexandria, Minnesota. Due to road construction, I had to take a different exit to get onto Highway 94. A sunflower field caught my eye.
In typical Trisha form, I pulled my car off to the side of the road. The field was on the wrong side of the road but it did have a great field entrance. After taking a few standard pictures, I couldn't help but want something more. There were a lot of cars going by. Did they wonder, "why is that person laying on the ground in the field?" SUNflower just would not get out of my head. Smile, God has a sense of humor. After all he created a flower that looks like the sun and follows the sun.
Is Grandma Field sitting in heaven looking down and smiling? After all, she was known for making Grandpa pull over so that she could take pictures and short movies the specialty flowers by the side of the road.
I am an eclectic person. I’ve broken the mold for the stereotype of what an accountant is like (as an accountant with a very creative side). I LOVE to challenge what “always has been”. Let’s look at things and think about them. Is there a "better" out there that we have missed because “it’s always been this way”? “Live, Laugh and Love” is one of my mottos. There is so much beauty in life we just need to stop and appreciate it. “Dance like no one is watching!” because the music in your head doesn’t match what’s playing for anyone else. :^)
