We have 3 groups of homes for purple martins. Two of them have the gourd look. Then there is the rectangular apartment look.

I was lucky, I was able to see the babies perched on the patios. They had only been flying for a couple of days.

The parents would fly off and then the young shortly afterwards. They would fly low for the most part. But when they were flying in a group, it was difficult to tell the difference between the parents and children.
