The grocery store had a special savings this week. Five packs of meat (any of over 12 varieties) for $19.99 which is a great savings. A great savings as long as the meat is used before it spoils or gets freezer burn.
A few years ago Dale bought a food saver system. We don't use it much because if there is any moisture in the bag it can be difficult to get the bag to seal.
This time I cut the bags extra big and it seemed to work. I weighed and formed hamburger parties so that there would be two for Dale the size he wanted and one for me. Some of the other meat I repackaged so that it would take a longer freezer time better.
With raising meat prices, it will be nice to have some in the freezer.
