Holiday Train |
The artist side of me loves the color and design of the light show posted on the side of the train. The Canadian Pacific railroad in coordination with communities along the path of the tracks, planned cities where the train made "whistle stops". There is a music program and a fundraiser for the local food shelf. They blocked a major highway and detoured traffic for about 45 minutes for the outside festivities with the temperature about 1 degree and a light fluffy snow flittering down.
(Those are not stars in the pictures. They are snowflakes. Pretty aren't they?)

Heading West from Kimball towards Watkins |
With all that being said, I am going to stand on a small soap box. The other side of the life is the BIG -ism. Commercialism. It is no longer "Merry Christmas" but now the politically correct "Happy Holidays". I understand to a degree that companies must be politically correct to keep the majority of their customers happy. But is that what Jesus came to do? To be politically correct? Canadian Pacific has a wonderful cause by providing food for those in need and for that I applaud them! MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL! (Can you believe that it is a week away?)
