Point of view

I am the type of amateur photographer that doesn't think twice about crawling on the ground or climbing up on something to get the perfect picture. There is a very simple process that anyone can do but I rarely see any one doing. Just turn your camera to the side.  Take a vertical shot. Just one warning: try to turn the camera the same direction.  It can be irritating if you flip the camera in opposite directions each time you do a vertical shot.  For my camera, it is easy because there is a hand grasp on the right hand side (it either goes to the right or up.)
