'Cuz my cup is running over.
We were watching "Country's Family Reunion" on RFD TV this evening and that was a song they were singing. I've heard the saying in the past and even then thought "so true".
Today being Resurrection (Easter) Sunday it is all the more fitting. We are forgiven through Jesus Christ's sacrifice as he died on the cross and rose again three days later. What a bigger blessing can we receive? Our cup overflows with God's forgiveness!
Drink the water of life from the saucer and don't worry if the cup overflows. Oooh I just had a thought, when your cup runs over and you drink from the saucer don't get upset if some spills on the table.
