I bought a block of cheese then realized I didn't have anything to cut it with. I remembered being shown a cutting technique for cutting cakes without a knife. That left me wondering if it would work for something as hard as cheese. There was only one way to find out if it would work and that was to give it a try!
I took the dental floss out of my purse. I pulled out about a twelve inch section. It took me a couple of tries to get a smooth cut. But it did cut through from the first try.
If you haven't tried this with cake, do it. No frosting build up and god clean cuts!
My Mom always used a piece of button hole twist (heavy thread) to cut cinnamon roll dough. Slide the thread under the long rol of dough, cross the ends & pull apart. Cleanly sliced the rolls without crushing the dough like a knife. Thanks for bringing back the memory!
ReplyDeleteTry going around the cheese next time, see if it makes a cleaner cut, then report back!
