Bulbs dug up last spring |
I didn't get all of the bulbs planted yesterday. Today, I had to plant the daphodils and tulips. The tulips were from some that I dug up right next to the house. It might take a couple of years for the small ones to bloom.

A long ditch for planting bulbs |
I dug two trenches six to eight inches deep. Then I dumped the bulbs in them. I am sure I will be stiff tomorrow from digging two trenches ten feet long and about ten inches wide.

Points must be up for the bulbs to bloom |
Dale stopped by as I was getting ready to arrange the bulbs - points up roots down. I had covered up a couple feet worth of bulbs when Dale showed up with the rake. He followed behind as I set the bulbs he covered them. One foot to go an it started sprinkling. FINISHED! Just in time! I rinsed off the tools, washed up and went to Sauk Rapids to do the church deposit.
After doing the deposit, I met up with my sister and we took pictures in Munsinger Gardens - I will share that another day. When I got back, Dale had hauled away the annuals and weeds that I pulled the day before. Isn't that a sweet-heart? I can't wait until spring to see how many bulbs come up.
