I love looking at the clouds and wondering, "What is going on up there that makes the clouds look like that?" You can see the denseness of the clouds to the right while the clouds on the left are breaking apart and blowing away.

Then there are the colors. Dark purple with light blue behind and whites, yellows, and gold's highlighting the edges. Then at a slightly different angle you see the real life shades of gray accented by a few shades of true blue. The texture of the clouds allow the varying color. Because where the cloud is thicker and thinner the light comes through and reflects off the clouds differently allowing it to appear a different shade of the color.

Heavenly rays of sunshine raise our hopes that the storm is nearly over. The streaks of sun soften the otherwise darkened sky.

Next time you are near a storm, look at it from a different viewpoint. See the color, the texture, the beauty that flows despite the rain, snow, wind or whatever the darkness dispels.
