Dale came home today with a special gift. He purchased a blue raspberry poinsettia. It is absolutely gorgeous! It is a special technique of painting with some glitter sprinkled on it.

When he brought the mail in the Christmas presents had arrived. I bought myself two pieces of jewelry. The nice thing about buying yourself a gift is that you can open and wear it right away.

They are both Topaz gemstones that have a coating. When I was in Alaska this was referred to as "Northern Lights" gemstone. Blue happens to be my favorite color. For me to say it was a blue day is a very positive thing!
