There is no greater love than that of a doberman (in my opinion). The girls greeted me last night with an attack of puppy/dogie kisses. Now that is a good attack. There was a brief growl and bark as a stranger walked by. They were saying, "my people and we've been missing her!"
Today, we picked up Sid. Duchess is in heat and she should be ready for breeding in the next day or two. She is a whole month early. That will mean the litter will be born in January. We have 8 interested parties. It will be interesting to see how many will follow through. Dogs are a commitment and Dobermans like to be attached to their owners with a bungee cord. I refer to them as bungee butt dogs. :^)
