LOST!

Don't you hate it when you misplace something very obvious? Keys and remote controls are the two most common things. I don't lose common things. I lose BIG things.

My clipper bag kept getting in the way. So I found it a new spot. Then I forgot until my boyfriend wanted his spring haircut. Panic! There are gone! I knew I used my thinning sheers last on my nephew (yes I have a cosmetology lisc.)  So here is part of the search. This was all texted...

"Did I bring my clippers up to your place and leave it? I can't find the blue bag and contents"

"No are we hiding from you"

"U r not at Dale's place or the last two places I used u. So where r u hiding?"

"I am thinking I am hiding in your bathroom or maybe your kitchen table"

"Bathroom checked...was double checking the kitchen table"

"Were you so tired you went into your living room and set me on your couch?"

"U sneaky little devil. U were hiding behind the broken pantry door on the floor of the pantry"

"Oh how did I get there? Were u trying to fix the pantry door with me?
Well I'm so tired from this game of hide and seek I am going to bed now :) thanks for making me smile."

"U were making your way to your new spot. Then the door broke and hid u. Goodnight."

"Wow I have a new spot I hope it has a nice soft pillow for me"

Found :^)

Finding lost things can be frustrating or fun. My sister and I like to make it fun. One of us always gets to be the other persons object.

Do you see Jesus?

When my Father and I traveled to Italy we were going through a Cathedral and of all the majesty around us, we noticed the bottom of this one pillar.

Jesus praying kneeling by a rock.
I tried to get a close-up but no flash was allowed and therefore I could not get it clear.  But you know, sometimes being a bit out of focus can give the imagination a clearer view.
Without a flash the close-up got a little blurryy
As we walked through the halls, there were spots that we could stop and listen to the history regarding the statues and collectables around us.  Someone wasn't paying attention to where he was and what he was doing.
I could not resist~
"Hey, PIVS VII! Is that your version of The Thinker?"
"Surprise!  It's just me!"
now you know where I get it from
When I travel, I think it is important to get pictures with people in them.  What can I say, other than perfect would have been two inches to my right (his left) but then I would have missed this candid shot.
I'll stand like this and when we get home, you can make a bust of me?
My heart was and probably still is mixed from touring in Rome.  There is so much oppulance and seemingly wasted wealth sitting in the churches or in the possesion of the Roman Catholic church when outside you see beggars, homeless people and a very dirty city.  Yet if these artifacts had not been saved by the Roman Catholic church, then they would have most certainly been lost to junkyards.

I didn't see Jesus in any of the buildings (other than the shadow at the bottom of the pillar).  I remembered how Jesus got upset and turned over the tables in the temple.  But the Holy Spirit was present as we sang old hymns in a small private chapel while others took Holy communion during the Sunday morning Mass.  I was reminded later that God gave very specific directions of a very beautiful Temple.

So, one of my questions when I get to heaven will be...   (I've written several questions regarding this matter and nothing seems right to ask. Oh well, God knows my heart.  He will probably just give me the answers before I have a chance to ask the questions.)

Share your faith....

I was driving through New Ulm and I was impressed that this business owner had put this simple message on his board "He is Risen" the other side says "He is Risen Indeed".

It is a miraculous message that gives us hope, encouragement, and confidence in the fact that there is life after death.  We look forward to a reunion one day with Jesus and our other brothers and sisters in Christ that have gone before us.

Share God's love and encouragement with one person today even as simply as a smile and the words "God Bless You." You'll be amazed.

And.... God Bless You today. You are extra special to him  :^)

Happy 50th Anniversary!

Many Christians try to fit God into a box.  We call that box our church and we think that the boxes we each create is the only box or the right box. It is after all the box where we are most comfortable.

I believe that God meets us where we are at. Some like to sing and dance in the worship service. God accepts their worship.  Some feel comfortable with rituals; kneeling for some prayers, standing for others.  God set up rituals/traditions for the Jewish people because he understood they needed that. We each choose a church that we feel comfortable attending. We choose boxes that look and feel god to us.  They add the color to our world that we need added.

At work they tell me that I like to play in other peoples sandboxes. So it shouldn't be surprising that I'm doing the same thing at home.  I am not Catholic but I periodically attend a Catholic church.  My brother and sister-in-law are Catholic.  Her uncle is a priest and in the "small world" that we live in I purchased my last house about two blocks from his church. I had the absolute blessing of attending a special mass celebrating the 50th anniversary of Fathers Jack Brunner and Richard Gross. As they said today, being a priest isn't simply a vocation. It is a way of life.

It was a beautiful service and afterwards the parishoners served a delicious meal. Congratulations men and thank you for your years of serving God.

Seder Service

For those who don't know; a Seder is also called the Passover Meal. The Christian Communion is taken from part of the Seder. I was at Seder this morning with a Messianic Rabbi. (That means he is a Jew that believes in Jesus as Lord and Savior.)
It was amazing to hear the Jewish perspective of their traditions and how what God put in place from the beginning were prophecies that pointed to Jesus as the Savior. All of our senses are involved in the service, sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch.  If you ever have a chance, go to a Seder service with a Messianic Rabbi.
Just before he left Rabbi shared, "I think we spend too much time telling God how big the mountains and problems in our life are instead of telling the mountains and problems how big our God is!"  So true, isn't it?
