Fat Fast time again

In the Fat Fast cookbook, they recommend doing a full fat fast every 3-4 months.  Eight days ago we celebrated Thanksgiving at my Father's place.  There was a lot of food.  Too much food as always.  I gained 2-3 pounds.

Upon my return, I was gearing up for a string of medical exams and a certification test for work.  Next Tuesday is my certification test and the medical test are complete.  The added stress has made losing weight impossible.  I have been barely maintaining.  But I had wanted to be down another 10 pounds by the end of the year.  (That is now 12 pounds because of the holiday gain.)

I am going to pull a majority of the carbs out of my diet this next week or maybe two.  I will see how the first week goes.  The 5-6 weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years can be immensely stressful.  Since I know that I am a stress eater, I am going to put myself in a regiment so that the emotional portion of eating will be eliminated.

Although I am waiting for results from two of the medical test, I am expecting a clean bill of health.  I know that when I get to my chosen weight (down 30-40 pounds) that I will still be considered overweight by the medical profession.  Sucks to be them!  Over the past year, the choices that I've made with my life has astounded the medical professionals around me.  Even though they will still consider me overweight, I am reaching for a level that I will be comfortable with for me.

A portion of my comfort is the fact that when people get cancer, they need that extra weight to win the fight.  The other portion is that when I see people that are "the perfect weight" according to the doctors they look anorexic to me.  I don't want to be so thin that I look sick.
