Ice Fishing

Over the weekend I took the girls out to the park by the lake running.  I could not believe how many fish houses were out on the lake.

By mid-week we are expected to be above freezing for several days in a row and more rain is expected.  The TV stations are warning people, just because there is 8" of ice on the lake today that doesn't mean that it will be safe in a couple of days.

When it warms, melts and rains over a frozen lake it makes a very unstable situation for fishermen.  Maybe the weather forecast is part of the reason that so many were out fishing over the weekend.  If it warms up too much, they might not be able get out fishing again until near Christmas.

It is so beautiful out there on a partly sunny day!  I hope that you had some time to make it outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
