People watching at the Mollie B Polka Party

Dancing is fun.  But due to bullying in my High School as a child I never learned to dance very well.  That is a totally different story.  Dale threw his right hip out and didn't realize it until he rode for forty minutes in the car and sat on a hard chair for a few hours.  Dancing this weekend is out of the question.  But have no fear there is plenty to do.

People Watching - and there were plenty of people
Watching the variety of dancers is a fun thing to do as we listen to the line up of wonderful bands.

Dale was watching the gentleman in the white shirt behind the orange dress.

Yes, this was the man he always watches on TV.

This couple added Belly Dancer jingles to their hips.

Some dancers found some space to add twirls and more in-depth moves.

The couple on the left wore matching outfits every day.
The woman on the right was a supporter with the "Barefoot Becky Polka Band"

Many Bands also wear costumes

A set of grandparents brought their two teenage granddaughters.
With great patience the girls learned the Polka step.

The hat man changed hats about three times.  He was a wild dancer.

This man was a joy to watch.  One of his buttons said, "Single ask me to dance."
I wondered if he was an instructor his dance was so formal and perfect.
He danced with many different partners and it was always a perfect step."

I think I know you, are you from Buffalo? Ralph, thought that I looked a lot like my Aunt Pat.

At almost 91 years old, Ralph is still kicking up his heals.
But he doesn't always finish the dances and sits out between dances resting.

This couple in traditional German costume were also a joy to watch.
Also the woman to the right with the purple and brown shirt along with her husband and all the different people that they danced with were excellent dancers.  At a Polka fest, it isn't uncommon to see people dancing with their main spouse and with other dancers in the room.  The really good dancers make it look good no matter who they are dancing with.
