Messiah's Temple

If you live in or around the Hutchinson Minnesota area, there are still a few more days to see this display yourself. I would highly recommend you visit.  I will separate my thoughts into several posts.
The original Temple was designed by God and built by Moses.  It was designed to give a prophecy of Christ as well as serve as a place for God to be with his people and forgive them of their sins.

The design (high level) was as the man of the family entered with a blemish free lamb he saw first a pile of ashes from others offerings. Then he saw the alter.  Between the alter and the tabernacle was the laver, for washing/cleansing. Inside the Holy Place continuing the straight line is the alter of incense. Off to the right was the table of showbread (the bread of life) and to the left was the seven-branch candlestick (the light for the world).  On the other side of the alter of incense was the Holy of Holies. It was laid out as a symbolic cross (pointing to God.)

John 14:16

When Jesus died hanging on the cross, the one and only true lamb, that died for the sins of the world, the veil that hung between the Holy of Holies (where God resided) and the courtyard (where men were allowed) was ripped from the top towards the bottom. God no longer resided in the small box.  He returned to Heaven to wait for Jesus.  Jesus resurrection on the third day concluded God's plan of mercy. The rest is up to us.

Jesus told the disciples that he needed to return to God the Father in Heaven.  But don't worry because he was going to leave us with the Holy Spirit.  The disciples taught us that we are the Temple of God. His Holy Spirit indwells in us when we accept his truths.  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

The New Temple

When the light of Jesus shines behind us, we too can point others to God.  Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
