Mama's attention

To get perspective, Duchess is the mama (black/rust) and Sonjia is the daughter (red/rust).  Sonjia is larger than Duchess.

This morning Duchess was laying in bed with me. I had opened the window shade and she was enjoying the sunshine.  Sonjia came up on the bed and slowly inched her way over to her mama.  She put her chin on Duchess leg and looked longingly up at her.  I can't believe how this large dog can make herself look so small when she is being submissive to mama.

Duchess swung her head over top of her before coming back and giving her doggie kisses and licking her ears.  That seems to be the way that they show love by cleaning out each others ears.  I guess that it doesn't matter how old or young we are.  We always need our mother's attention and love.
