Frost and clusters

There wasn't any frost this morning.  It rained a bit last night.  That was enough to put a kibosh on the frost.  So here I am playing with pictures from last week that I wanted to share with you.  This is the last group of pictures.  It isn't that I didn't take at least a hundred more. But these have been my favorites!
Sumac seed pod
I have tried to look online to find out what plant these seed pods belong to.  I come up with Sumac but I don't remember this tree's leaves turning red last fall.  I was given a layout of the plants in the yard from the landscaping.  But in my wisdom, I put it away in a "safe" spot.  Don't you hate those "safe" spots?  The top picture if covered in a red covering.  The picture below shows some of that covering has dropped off and seed pods that are uncovered are red and orange.

Okay, I had to play with the vignette.  Doesn't it add that extra pop? Or a bit of a dream factor?  I guess the frost on the seed pod didn't really need that extra pop.  It was beautiful in it's own right. I have always wanted decorative grasses in my yard.  Last spring I planted some at my old place.  I was glad to see that there were some in the landscaping out here.  I was even more exited when I saw it filled with frost.
