He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Jesus was crucified on a cross, died and was buried just before the beginning of Sabbath.  It was against the Jewish law to prepare a body for burial that close to the Sabbath.  So his body was placed in a grave wrapped in burial clothing but otherwise untreated.

The grave was sealed and guarded for fear that the followers of Christ would steal the body.  The guards passed out in fear and the sealed stone was moved away. The tomb was empty! The burial clothing was left in the tomb and the napkin covering his face was folded neatly.

Jesus appeared to many people in the next hours and days.  As with everything there are many that said he is alive and others that say it was a hoax.  It takes faith for us to believe because it happened around 2,000 years ago.  But for those who have faith, there is no doubt.  He is risen indeed!
In remembrance of Jesus Resurrection
The actual cross were two pieces of wood connected together for the purpose of a torturous death.  There was nothing beautiful about it.  There is an old pass-around story of a young boy that created a parade float with a cross.  He made it  sparkly and beautiful.  His Pastor reprimanded him that the cross was not a beautiful thing.  It was rough wood that was connected together.  Then the boy in his innocence said, "Jesus never touched anything and left it the same!"

Have you allowed Jesus to touch your life?  He is just a prayer away!
