Onyx

Onyx came for a visit.  He was born last January with litter 3.  Look at what a big boy he is.   Grandpa invited him to jump up and give him a hug and kisses.  His little tail was wagging like wild.  He was so excited to see us.

Onyx greets Grandpa
It was Onyx first time in an open field since he left us this spring.  We used to take them out to fields frequently but not this one.  There was a great deal of water and a stream running through it this spring.

A chilly day and three Dobermans means that we must keep moving in that cool, windy, wide open field.

Grandpa, Duchess, Misty Blue and Onyx
Misty Blue would run and pounce after the bigger dogs and when they would turn to play back, she would run and sit between our legs.

I can be brave and play from here.
Mama and son are checking in with their people after chasing each other around the field. Duchess I think was more of jealousy because Dale's attention was being given to puppy, Misty Blue while Duchess was running with Onyx.

Dobie fun <3
I get a kick out of the fact that all the Dobermans that I know of don't realize how big they are because they always try to crawl onto our laps.

I'm his baby, Onyx
You see it begins this way as they snuggle close.  Oh yes, they must be touching you nearly all the time.

Then all of a sudden, "If I just stretch like this, I can end up on your lap!"  Look at the markings on Onyx chest.  It looks like a tan heart.

Onyx loving on Grandpa
That is only appropriate because he has stolen our hearts as have his mother 24 siblings.
