I had a weak moment....

I enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby.  Not only is it a great craft store but they also play Christian music so it is a great place to shop.

I LOVE craft stores

I know, I have been craving to get my fingers dirty with modeling clay.  So I bought some.  It has been years.  I'm not sure if this is a good quality or not but for practicing, it will work.

Get your hands dirty.
I only had part of the tools for the clay at home, so I got the other part of the set.  Then I got clue for My Jenny's paw prints.  I also decided to get some sketching supplies.  I probably have those at home somewhere but the art studio boxes haven't' been unpacked.

Here are some of the sketches that I did.  These are all practice so don't beat me up too badly with critiques.

Doberman at attention
I couldn't believe how challenging her mouth was.  It is one of those times that less is more - or at least I hope so.

Sketching, Drawing and Painting puppies is more difficult because they are miss-sized and the brain is fighting appropriate proportion.

My Jenny as a puppy
This one made me nervous because I was doing a bit of a self-portrait.

Not all weak moments are bad moments.  I really need to get the art studio organized though so that I know what I really have for supplies.
