Home office, teleconference

One of the technologies with a home office is that we teleconference over the computer for meetings.  One meeting today went wrong.  One person, critical to the meeting could not make it.  So we went to plan B.  For me, that meant using my cell phone.  I don't get good coverage in the house so BUMMER I had to pull out a lawn chair, sit under the evergreen tree and admire the flowers in the gardens while I participated in the business call.

Changing of the Colors
Summer heat brings more flowers and as I promised, my garden changes colors as the summer progresses.  I love the look of the daisy.  So I have been encouraging other flowers with the similar look often referred to as coneflowers.

Black Eyed Suzie
The black-eyed Suzie if a favorite.  As you can tell the "eye" also called disc is actually a very dark brown. Looking closely at this newly opened flower, you can see the yellow of the pedals reflecting off from the dark brown eye.

Echinacea
The brilliant colors of the Echinacea also add a vibrant flair to the garden. The bees are thick in the garden.  When I go to pull weeds, I am careful to give them their space.  When I don't bother them, they don't bother me.  Hearing so often the number of bees that are decreasing, I will do my part to keep them fed.

Echinacea
The five flowers above are all on the same plant.  They are just at different stages of blooming.  The longer hey are flowering, the darker and richer that they become.
