Historic Annapolis

Wednesday,  May 23rd supper was downtown Annapolis.
The one way street made of traditional brick had parking on both sides of the road and room for one car down the center.
The long straight road went from the bay uphill.
We ate at Cafe Normandie.
It was graduation and commissioning week so we saw West Point and Naval Academy cadets with their families all over town.
A touch of French cuisine featuring Maryland seafood.
They have a page in the menu which shares the history of of the restaurant.
I chose a Hors D'euvres of Shrimp Provencale.
My main meal I wanted a savory crepe: ham and cheese.
For dessert I ended with cherry clafoutis.
They served traditional French bread in a basket with a liner that looked like a French newspaper.
My co-worker ordered soup.
My appetizer came with cheese baguettes.
Once I stirred up what was under the shrimp, I was surprised at what a delicious dipping sauce was hiding there.
That was followed by a caesar salad.  The dressing was amazingly light.
The crepe was scrumptious!
All were small servings which allowed me room for dessert.
This is very definitely a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 restaurant,  service was superb and the food was WOW!
Parking was a bit of a challenge. But that is what you get for the added ambience of historic Annapolis.
