A late winters day March 13th

The sun and the winds are taking their toll on the drifts of snow. I love the way they create a delicate lacey sculpture.
Each change of season has its special eye-catching beauty. In places it looked like lace shaped glass sprinkled over the drifts.
Then there were the frozen waves!
I love my dogs but the are good at smashing the snow sculptures.
Nothing lasts forever (especially snow in the late winter).
It won't be long until I am cleaning gardens. I leave many plants through the winter because they add character.
This is a seed pod from a Japanese peony tree.
There were two seeds. I am going to take them inside and plant them. ... will they grow? We will see.
