Happy Visitor

This morning, just before work I looked up to see our special visitor again. This time I was able to keep the inside lights off and it ate until it was full.

I guess that is an assumption on my part, but it didn't seem to fly away spooked. I love that mohawk! My mother would have loved this place. She always loved to see the birds at the feeders outside the bay window.

The woodpecker flew from the feeders to the tree in the yard before flying away. By the way, I am loving my Christmas gift of the new lens. it takes awesome pictures doesn't it?

The only problem that I'm having is that my arm injury stopped the outside window from getting cleaned. Periodically, the auto-focus catches the dirt on the window instead of the bird that I'm trying to photograph.
