Home and happy

This morning as we were leaving Lee Summit, Missouri there was a break in the clouds which formed a blue lace - edged. They were calming and comforting on a day when we needed to leave a longtime friend after a fabulous weekend together.
Heart of God
Travels went well until we were about a 1/2 hour from home. Road construction had the freeway down to one lane (ahead of us). We don't think that they were working on it. But as we were sitting on the freeway almost still, the storm began.
Clouds with character
By the time the farm was in sight, it was obvious that this storm had character. The brilliant bright yellow sunshine peeking through the corner of the storm while the darkness of the storm slowly crawled up from the south.
The storm rolling by to the North
Later as the sun was setting the brilliant sunshine was peeking in from the West while the storm rolled by to the North. It was nice to be home as the storm was coming down around us.  I don't mind storms.  I really want to walk partway outside so that I could hear the rain and the thunder of the storm.  To me, they are so peaceful and calming.
