Mom, I Won!

I was weeding then planting in the new garden tonight.  I loosened the ground around this plant before I pulled it up.  I felt like my mother was there with me in the garden.  When Mom and Dad purchased the family farm we spent several years restoring my grandmothers flowers gardens.  Mom and I used to have contests "who could pull out the longest root". 

I think I got the entire root for a change!

So as I pulled up this weed and it's nearly never ending root, I had an automatic response.  I yelled, "Mom! I won! Beat this one."  She has been with Jesus in Heaven for over 20 years yet today, she was digging in the dirt with me.
