Sprinkles of tears bring forth flowers for years

I walked through the cemetery today with the dogs. It was in need of mowing but that was why this caught my eye.  The tiny white flowers of the clover grew like a trail through the cemetery. One flower for each tear shed by those left behind.

Over the grave the bouquet that will spread pure true love every spring for years. Brilliant pink and white peonies sprinkle the air with sweet fragrance!

There aren't many cemeteries that allow plants around the graves. I understood better when I looked at some headstones and saw that they ranged from deaths in the 1920s to 1950s. I guess that is what is referred to as being "grandfathered in"!
