And Winter snow thaws bring Snow Crocus. I have seen these pop through the snow when the frost isn't too deep. Every flower garden that I plant includes crocuses! After all who doesn't want the first flowers blooming on the block.
Living a block off from main street a lot of people walk by my place. The new bulbs that I planted last fall are poking up through the dirt but no flowers yet. I can't wait to see how many come up.
