Eating low carb

I thought that I would give you an update.  For new readers, I am carb sensitive.  I have different dietary needs. My goal is 80% calories from fat, 20% calories from protein, with no more than 40 grams of carbs.

I just came back from a week of traveling for work. I am pleased with the results. I know that I ate more calories than when I was at home.  But I didn't gain any weight.  My morning sugar levels are hanging at an average of 120. When I test later in the day, it is perfect 101 high.
I have learned to order what I need even if it is not on the menu.  Sometimes it embarrasses the people that I am with but I tip well so it doesn't bother me.

On the road I ate half an omelet for breakfast and saved the other half for lunch.  It had mushrooms, spinach, bacon and cheddar cheese with avocado on the side. In the evening I had either chicken or beef with a salad. I had the kitchen make me a sour cream and avocado dressing. For snacks I had a serving of macadamia nuts. The hard part is filling in the extra fat in a fat free society.
