My Jenny at the Renaissance Festival

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival allows dogs to join you at the festival providing that you provide proof of shots, a picture and abide by all the rules.  Close to the wedding chapel was a face painter.  She saw My Jenny behaving so well during the service that she as asked if she could paint her face.  The price was less than what she charged for a human child.

For lunch we shared a turkey leg.  I picked the turkey off the leg and shared bites with her.  I carefully picked those long, thin, sharp bones out then she got the really BIG bone in the center.  She ate both ends off of it, broke open the center, ate the marrow out, and the rest was mine to pick up and throw away.

We entered The Secret Garden in Fairy Wing Forest and upon entering we saw this wood nymph and My Jenny decided to do her impression of the nymph.

Further into the forest, was a fairy.  My Jenny wanted to go over by her and when she did she was dusted with fairy dust.

Around the corner, the enchanted fairy was resting in the garden.  She sat there giggling with her friends.

The enchanted fairy called My Jenny over for a special fairy kiss.  She best watch out for soon she may sprout wings.

My Jenny, sat up at attention listening to the Toryseller.  She was one of two hecklers in the crowd.  She barked back at him just a few minutes after the dog in the back.

My Jenny enjoyed the day with all the people.  A majority of her paint had been petted off as people stopped us and asked for permission to pet her.  She came with me because she is a bit too timid.  I wanted an environment that she could learn to be comfortable with a variety of people and dogs.  She did very well.  She only got jittery once and that was watching a performance with a lot of clapping and yelling.  She was so tired but didn't want to miss anything.  So on the way home, she stood in the back seat, put her head on my sisters shoulder and fell asleep.  Yes, she was sleeping standing up but she would not lie down.

We had a long walk to and from the car as a portion of the parking lot was taken up by this mining operation.  The Minnesota Renaissance is celebrating it's 43rd year in operations.  But a nearby frac mining operation has the future of the Renaissance Festival in question.
