The problem with weeds are...

Father John stopped by this morning as I was weeding the garden.  He said, "the problems with weeds are that they are so close to the ground."

I am not Catholic but I've known Father John for years.  We often have spiritual discussions.  Today we talked about flowers, weeds, and gardens. But when he left I thought about his statement.

As I've said before, weeds are like sin.  With that in mind, to get rid of the sin in our lives, we need to get low and close to the sin.  Then we need to dig up the area around the sin so that it can be uprooted. It isn't easy and you will probably get dirty. But the beauty of what is left will bloom brighter and bigger.

WEEDS! HA!
Don't be afraid to dig deep and root out those sins and toss them onto the sidewalk to dry out.
(I do things in stages.  So the weeds are still drying on the sidewalk. I guess I want to make sure that they won't re-root. LOL)
