Eating good food!

I went up to Dad's for the weekend.  I took off from work on Thursday afternoon so that I could meet them at Black Bear Casino.  Supper was all you can eat crab legs.  But what can you say, it was a buffet and it had all kinds of meat fish and shrimp.  I was rude and picked the breading off the shrimp and scallops.

They even had a section of sugar free desserts.  I cheated just a bit and drizzled a little bit of caramel over the top.  They also had strawberries but just looking at it they seemed sugary.  I figured a bit of caramel was safer.

Friday I worked the morning in the hotel room until we had to check out. Then on the way up to their place, we stopped at a small café'.  I will show pictures from the café on another day.  Today you get to see the very delicious mushroom cheeseburger that I ordered without a bun.

Friday night was a night when friends/relatives eat out and come over to the house afterwards. There were eight of us at the restaurant.  As Pat would say, "Yes, your father is eating out again at yet another restaurant.  They had a fish fry which looked really good but it was all breaded.  So I chose a small steak with vegetables.  Dad was going to order a potato ala cart so instead, I gave him mine.  That worked out well.

Saturday night, after a day of running, we ate supper at home.  The pictures from Finnish Laskiainen "Sliding Downhill" at the "old" school in Palo will be posted on another day(s).  It was a long day and I was able to purchase a kit for spinning wool with a drop spindle for $12 (more information on a later date).  I was also able to purchase a kit for locker hooking (again more information in a later post.)  Then we went to a Mary Kay and Candle lite party show and who showed up?  Destiny! One of Duchess puppies from the first litter.  Needless to say, we were hungry when we got home.

It doesn't take much food to fill you up when you are eating protein and fats.  :^)
