Texas de Brazil - Updated

We went out with coworkers one two evenings this week. The first evening was to a Brazilian grill in Houston, Texas.

Salad Bar
They had a fabulous salad bar.  There wasn't too much salad on it but it had some wonderful cheese options,  spicy shrimp,  fabulous olives and a strange very thinly sliced pineapple that had been cooked in seasoning.

We each had a round disc that we put by the plate. Green up means service me meat and red up means no meat at this time.  Some of the guys thought that the servers with the meat skewers were paid on commission (by empty skewer). Even with the red side up, they were frequently offered meat.

Skewer of meat

What meat? Leg of lamb,  lamb chops,  several types of beef steak, bacon wrapped chicken,  pork and sausages.  I didn't try them all because there were too many options.

The meat was brought out on long skewers and they either slid it off or sliced it off depending on the cut of meat and how it was prepared. I decided that if I was ever in a place with Dale that had this restaurant that I would take him. It was fabulous!

At the end of the meal they brought a dessert plate on the table.  A coworker asked is anyone wanted to share a piece of coconut cream pie. I gave in. But when it was served,  I only had about a teaspoon full from the tip of the piece and I left the crust behind.

I know I have a lot of pictures but look at the lighting.  Even the décor was intriguing.
