Review of last night's cheesecake

Okay I need to preface this with the fact that I am a little bit biased. Why wouldn't I be? I cook the food.

It was very delicious it was just the perfect mix of cream cheese, chocolate, and cherries with the coconut providing a little bit of crisp with the creaminess. For those that love the overly sweet, overly rich cheese cake this is not for you.  It is sweet but not over the top sweet.  I am not a huge fan of almonds but the crust was a tasty base for the cheesecake.

 I was surprised to see that after cooling the almond base held together well as a crust. 

I also find that once in awhile I need to pull out the fancy China for a special treat.   It has been 5 days of intermittent rain; the little bit of fancy was a good way to perk up the day.
