Perfect Bacon Bowl

Not to disappoint my sister, I am doing a late night post.  My bacon bowls arrived this week and I am so excited!  Now I need to learn how to use them.  With anything new, it sometimes takes a few tries.  So here I am recording my first try.

I started by pulling out my jelly roll pan.  The four bacon bowl forms fit on top of it.  That is a requirement of the process to put it on an oven safe pan.

Setting up bacon bowls
Then I cut one strip in half and made an X.  Putting the fat side up you wrap a another piece around from the base. I little bit higher and starting on the opposite side, another strip of bacon is wrapped around.  Then you bake them for about 35 minutes at 375 degrees.

I am anxiously waiting to see how they turn out!  I am patient in some things but not in this.  I really want to see how they turned out.  Did I tell you that I only had thick cut bacon in the house?  That could definitely work differently.

Checking on bacon bowl
I let them cook an extra ten minutes and I learned something very important. Do NOT use thick cut bacon.  I flipped one off and it was still raw inside.  I put it back in place and put it in the oven again.  I will not get the final picture posted tonight.  But next time I will use thin bacon and post a picture for you then.

Don't use thick cut bacon
Success can only be achieved by risking failure and learning from mistakes.
