Happy New Years! 2014 has arrived!

It is nice that New Years Day is a national holiday.
We had a restful day today. I worked on writing my third novella, "Trusted Friends". The dogs spent a lot of the day sleeping.

It's a dog's life!

Dale took a few naps between sorting cans outside in cold. I use the word nap lightly because the dogs would run into his bedroom and jump on him.

Who's walking whom?

The girls took us for a walk out on the lake late in the afternoon when it was a balmy -4 degrees. At least there wasn't any wind.

Alligator tracks (tee hee)
We went looking for alligators. Can you see the track from their tails????  Huh? What do you mean that is a snowmobile track? I was for sure and certain it was from an alligator's tail.

I was down 5.5 pounds so far for the week and my blood sugars are dropping significantly.  I am feeling full during this 1000 calorie fat fast even though I am only hitting 72-4% fat and 21-3% protein. I have found some excellent books on his subject. The one I am reading now is "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living". I highly recommend this book. It is bringing the concept down to my level.
