Dale had dug out the base for the blocks. He ran during the daytime to pick up sand for leveling the base and he sifted out two large wheel barrows full of dirt.
The good weather over the weekend allowed me plenty of time to get a good headstart on my summer projects. 3/4 of the retaining wall is up and 1/2 the sifted dirt was put back in....that empty spot??? Oh yeah, part of the dirt was used for strawberries and asparugus beds.
I hope to have good weather and time to dig out the right side and finish the retaining wall before Memorial Day. That will mean moving the chives. More dirt will need to be sifted so that I have a place to plant the chives.....oh So Much Work! But it will be with it :^)
