Devil's Tongue, Voodoo Lily, Stink Plant (Amorphophallus)

One of the things that I have from my Grandmother is a group of bulbs.  Each year a green and cream speckled leave grows up and dies down.  The bulb get bigger and bigger.  In the winter, you absolutely can not water it.  Last winter I forgot to remove them from the pot but I didn't water it.  As I pulled the dried leaves from the pot a week ago I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of the bulb is going to flower!  YEAH!  This one is less than two feet tall.  Many when they bloom can get up to 5-7 feet tall.  They smell terrible during the time that they are blooming.  If the weather warms up a little bit more, I will be able to put it outside during that time...  or we will need to use a lot of air freshener.  I wish I had smell-o-vision for you!  :^)

WOW after 15+ years, my bulb is finally going to flower.

It is getting taller and closer to blooming.
